In the summer of 1951, the first MBV volume on the Tassilo Chalice was published; at the end of the project in 2025, the series stands for three quarters of a century of continuous archaeological research at the Munich Academy. Among the volumes are many classics and genuine citation works that have long been out of print. It was important that the old volumes, which have not yet been produced digitally, also become searchable as PDFs. Therefore, OCR scans were carried out, which work with optical character recognition and thus place a text layer under the facsimile visible in the PDF. In this way, the scanned volumes still offer an added value that will certainly be gladly used. The volumes are available for download on the academy server.
